Stephen Lee,is a prominent tea and herb importer from Portland/USA.
He has been associated with tea and herbal teas for more than 20 years.
Recently he bought a tea company TEAPORTS.
On entering the company warehouse to take stocks,
the first sight hat greeted him was a pallet
of Makaibari tea in chests. He was hypnotised by the logo.
The image of the logo stayed with him throughout the night,
and the following morning he decided to take the earliest flight to
makaibari.
Stephen Lee and his chief executive, arrived at 3 pm after
flying nonstop from the west coast of America. They were met at the factory by me and the community ladies, welcomed them with traditional khadas or silk scarves , at the Ganesha temple at the factory. The conch shell was blown as a
synbol of peace and mantras chanted by the priest.
They were next taken for a tour of the manufacture of black orthodox tea in the plant. Next they were to scheduled to meet the main community group leaders. When being introduced to the committee, one of the workers excitedly came in with a TEA DEVA which
she had found moments ago. Stephen and Tom were hypnotised by the amazing insect and ,took two reels of photographs as well as video films on it. Both were completely amazed with this creation of Makaibari.
Next day as we walked through the tea plantation,
Stephen picked up a flower of the tea bush-a delicate white flower with yellow pollen in the centre. Suddenly he stopped, and asked us to have a closer look at the flower. he turned the flower around and showed us that the pedicle of the tea flower had the same shape and colour of the
Makaibari logo.
Thinking it was an accident, all of us collected many
flowers, and lo and behold all the flowers had the same configuration and
colour as the Makaibari logo. This was truly amazing. Stephen was happy that he had made the pilgrimage to Mb,
and he opined that Makaibari must be the home of tea with the cup that cheers everyone internatinally.
Indeed all the community at Makaibari, were intensely grateful to Stephen
to teach us that what we were doing at Makaibari had the blessings of
the cosmos. Thus began our partnership with this unique messenger from the USA.
Next week I would like to share with you the dream
I had the same night on the logo ,and the discovery of a legend
connected with it.
Till then may all of you enjoy the legend of camellia sinensis.
