It was far too late when I trudged up to my house for further
sleep, after the night of excitement. Furthermore,I had a heap of work to organise prior to the holidays
and then rush down to Bagdogra airport, to receive Mrs.Ishii( who I call
Toyota Tigress) and her younger cub Hiroko.
I had a shower, and my usual morning meditation for an hour(which
refreshed immediately and filled me with great energy), a bowl of porridge
with three cups of green Makaibari tea and set off to work.
With the Tigress was a famous journalist from Japan , Ms.Chino and her assistant
Mr.Gary--who is a member of the Dalai Lama's parliament in exile from Delhi.
It was a splendidreunion,as the Tigress is one of my favourite people on this earth.
She is so intense on whenever she talks on any subject, and she always
has a big,big smile. I have never seen her angry or depressed. The airport is new and
has a spacious restaurant. The bearers run it as a cooperative, and I always
invite all visitors on arrival for the house speciality--chicken cutlets and
beer. Over the simple meal,we caught up on all her activities at Japan, and
indeed we felt greatly honoured that the entire Ishii family was firmly
behind the vision of Makaibari--not only from the heart but also practically
on the fields of urban Japan.
We drove up to the Makaibari tea farm, and Ms.Chino was amazed at the
woodlands and commented, this looks exactly as it was a hundred years ago.
At the factory, all were greeted traditionally by the community ladies, whilst
the priest blew the conch shell--as a symbol of peace and happiness.,at the
Ganesha temple. The elephant headed God ,synbollising wisdom smiled
beningly. The group were indeed lucky for us, for one of the assistants
rushed up with a TEA DEVA which had been picked up by a tea picker a few
hours ago. I knew then that the blessings of the ultimate evolution of
Makaibari had decided to grace the visitors with its unique blessings.
This
was the first time that the Tigress had ever seen the Tea Deva, although she
has visited Makaibari innumerable times. Not only her but the entire group
were totally hypnotised by this unique living manifestation, which is
avirtual replica of a tea leaf. After a while, a blur of activity occurred
as everyone reached for their cameras to capture this sighting. No doubt the
Tigress will share her photo with all readers when she returns to japan.
Till next week, I pray that all readers seek the Tea Deva which is within
everyone as one's personal wonder.
